[The Scene: The spooky old Parodiopolis Variety Theatre at night. But it's less spooky at the moment since a whole bunch of lights in the main Auditorium are on. Pretty much all the seats are filled. The people in the seats are all here for a night of fun, frivolity & possibility of a fart joke or two. An act has just finished, the curtains close & the night's MC, Sarah Shepardson, walks on to the stage] Sarah Shepardson: Wasn't Mr. Bastion & his assistant wonderful? *Claps a bit* Now I'm sure the screams of pain were all part of the act & this Assistant was not hurt in anyway no matter what may think you saw. Visionary screamed from backstage: I've been shot! Repeatedly! That irritating Archer shot me! [Visionary or a life like stuffed doll rigged up with a few computer chips to act like Visionary couldn't finnish it's rant because his words were being muffled by something] Sarah laughed off the rant & went back to announcing: Our next is a very special one. Why you may ask? Well, it's the only one that uses an Accordion! [Sitting in the Audience was Lenard H. Bookman. He had found the show so far quite plain, unimaginative & at some points even stupid. He hadn't really been paying attention to the last couple of acts but Sarah's comment about Accordions made him pay attention. There was only one person he knew that played the Accordion & when he thought about them, shivers when up & down his spine] Sarah: Here are Chadwick L. Swiss on Accordion, Ronald Arnold Gerrimoto Beeslyhuxtoy doing Vocals with Jane Tarzania & Catherine Gillespie providing back up Vocals. The song they'll be performing is the current hit by former Boy Bander Justin Timberlake! [Sarah walks off stage & from his seat Lee starts to shake his head no as the curtains open to reveal Ronnie dressed up is a neon red & yellow Tux, Chad is his typical attire (Jeans & a powder blue Bowling Shirt). The Girls are dressed in a sparkling gold dresses] Chad starts to play & Ronnie says: I'm bringing sexy back! Jane & Catherine together: Yeah! [The song goes on. Chad is jamming away on his Accordion as both He & his friend start to dance around. Jane & Catherine sway back & forth while still providing the accompanying vocals.] Lee, mumbles to himself: no. no. no. They can't be here! They just can't! [Lee gets up from his seat to find Sarah] [The Scene: Back Stage. Sarah is watching the performance from just off stage. Carl Bastion & a few others are taking arrows out of what appears to be Visionary strapped to a circular red & white Bullseye. A Sock is stuffed in Vish's mouth, he's crying a bit. Lee Bookman storms up to Ms. Shepardson] Lee: Excuse me. Sarah, turns toward Lee: Yes? Lee, points to the group on stage: What are they doing there? Sarah, looks over & then back at Lee: They appear to be doing the Justin Timberlake song "SexyBack" & doing a pretty good job considering it's done with only an accordion providing the music. Lee: True. But why are they on Stage? Sarah: They auditioned & were one of the better acts that did. [Sarah picked up clip board with the Night's acts on it] Sarah, points to them on the clipboard: See. They are right there in between Mr. Bastion's Archery Act & the Latter-Day Zecharavians act, Judy and the Pussies. [On stage, the lights go off & the spotlight focuses on a small furry animal standing center stage] Ronnie: Break it down, Little Cat! [Chad continues to play as the Hamster dances. After a minute or two, the hamster stops dancing, the stage lights come back on & the group start up the last verse of the song] Lee, after seeing that: What about that? Sarah: What? That's cute! [Seeing he was getting no where, Lee sighs & storms off back to his seat. He'd leave but under penalty of death he can't. The Group on stage finishes the song & get a standing ovation. They bow & leave the stage after the curtains are drawn] Sarah: Great job! Ronnie: Thanks. [The End?...] |
